The White House claims that 135,000 people were deported during Mr Trump’s first 100 days in office, yet official data from the Office of Homeland Security Statistics have not been released since November. TRAC, a research outfit, estimates that the true total is closer to 72,000. As of early May, daily average removals were roughly the same as during Joe Biden’s final year in office. |
