Nationally, the number of immigrants booked into ICE detention facilities increased in less than a year – from 24,696 in August 2024 to 36,713 in June 2025, according to the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse. The Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse is a nonprofit at Syracuse University that conducts nonpartisan research. |
