More than 65,700 people were being held in ICE detention as of Nov. 30, according to the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse, a nonpartisan research center at Syracuse University. Of those detainees, 73.6% had no criminal convictions, but rather minor offenses, such as traffic violations. |
