Employers rarely get charged with illegally hiring immigrants. Michigan had 1 case last year

Previous research found the federal government only criminally charged 11 employers over 12 months in 2018 and 2019, according to the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse. That’s compared to 85,727 immigrants who were prosecuted for illegal entry during the same period.
