US Department of Justice loses a quarter of its lawyers

In 2025, there were 85,645 new prosecutions, up 5.5 percent from the previous year, according to the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse. More than half of those related to immigration, while white-collar crime prosecutions have fallen to their lowest level in at least four decades.
