According to the latest data from Syracuse University’s Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC), Immigration and Customs Enforcement was holding 60,311 people in detention as of April 4, 2026. The data also found that 70.8 percent of detainees, or 42,722 people, had no criminal convictions, while many of those with convictions were cited for minor offenses, including traffic violations, according to TRAC. |
