Trump’s immigration policy was once advertised as an effort to capture “the worst of the worst.” But that’s clearly not what’s happening, says Rehan Alimohammad, a partner with a Sugar Land-based immigration law firm and president of the Katy Bar Association. At least 70 percent of the population in ICE detention facilities nationwide has never been convicted of a crime, according to Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse. |
