Update on detention: It has only gotten worse

More than 70% of the immigrants who are detained have no criminal convictions, according to the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse, founded at Syracuse University. Most of the remaining immigrants were convicted of minor offenses, such as traffic violations, or for immigration-only offences.
