U.S. Attorneys reported taking an average of 493 days days between receipt of a ATF criminal referral and reaching either sentencing or not guilty verdict in court during March 2026.

In March 2026, U.S. Attorneys reported out of 467 prosecutions of ATF-led investigations, a total of 431 defendants were convicted (or 92%), while 36 were not convicted.
