In June 2025 U.S. Attorneys acted on 1,738 FBI referrals they had received, charging 1,103 defendants or 63 percent, with crimes in U.S. district courts and closing 635 FBI referrals without prosecution.

U.S. Attorneys reported taking an average of 860 days days between receipt of a FBI criminal referral and reaching either sentencing or not guilty verdict in court during June 2025.

In June 2025, U.S. Attorneys reported out of 1,075 prosecutions of FBI-led investigations, a total of 957 defendants were convicted (or 89%), while 118 were not convicted.
